Trapped! (Part 2)

As Metal Flinch closed in on Station Square, he saw them behind him, but ignored them.

Vertex proceeded to follow Metal Flinch to Station Square. He ascended into the air, and shot forward, following Metal Flinch's path, while at the same time aiming to strike his target head on.

Durex was watching through the clouds, higer than Metal Flinch and Vertex. Canvex was running to station square also.

Metal Flinch caght Vertex with one hand, but when he did that, his arm became disfunctional and threw Vetex into the concrete.

"Well I'm screwed." Vertex said before he plummeted through Earth's atmosphere, hitting the hard concrete below. He was constantly screaming "OW!"

Metal Flinch shot himself down and tried to get Vertex out, but it seemed Vertex was thinner than he really was when he plummeted into the first layer, making him stuck.

Meanwhile, on the planet...

"Where is he?! He was supposed to be here an hour ago!!" Suddenly, a green dot appeared on the horizon. It became bigger, until it was what appeared to be a short Master Chief standing in front of Sage. "Sorry I'm late!" It said. "What took you so long? You were supposed to be here an hour ago!" "Sorry! Don't blame me if my zipper gets stuck on mars!" "Oh, god, Edwidan, don't pee on mars!" "You know, it's like you said, Spade isn't getting any more alive while we're standing here arguing." "You're right, for once. SOL CONTROL!!!" Sage and little Master Chief teleported to station square, right next to where Vertex had crashed. "Wha'd we miss?"

"Me..." Vertex started, "...feeling large amounts of pain. Help..."

"...A talking ball?" "I'll explain later." "Okay... Healing touch!" The Master Chief touched vertex, and his wounds healed in an instant.

As Vertex thought he was about to die, a burst of power coursed through his (veins?) He suddenly felt a strong healing, which he burst up from the ground from, accidentally hitting The Master Cheif in the face.

"Thank you, and sorry. ^^"

"That's okay. This suit was built to last." The master chief took off his helmet to reveal a green hedgehog. "Name's Edwidan."

"Nice to meet you! I'm Vertex." Vertex introduced, "I would shake hands with you if I could."

In the edge if his vision, Vertex could see Metal Flinch, which reminded him that they needed to stop him. A metaphorical exclamation mark ascended atop Vertex as he reminded the group their main objective.

"So we gotta stop that thing, right? If Spade were alive, we could probably beat it in one huge attack, but, them's the breaks." "Hmmmm... Vertex. How hard is your skull... Or whatever?"

Vertex appeared scared as he stepped back a few inches. "Wait...you're not going to throw me, are you?"

"What the flip is Sol energy?" Vertex asked, still scared.

(Sorry I was gone for so long. I was grounded.)

"This." Sage snapped his fingers, and a ball of blue fire appeared in his hand.

(Ouch.)

Vertex stared at Sage as he generated the blue fireball in his hands. He watched as the fireball illuminated the scene brightly, and ferociously flickered like a dragon. Meeting this person not too long ago, he wasn't sure if he could be trusted up to this point. "So let me get this straight," Vertex started, "...this...isn't going to hurt if you cover me in...blue fire?"

Metal Flinch stopped, turned around, and stared at what was going to come towards him. He landed on a building, and turned off his defensive system. "WAIT!" He disarmed himself. "I don't mean any harm. If we could just go to a secluded place, I can explain everything!"

(Sorry, I completely forgot this forum existed.)

"Well, that's a relief." Edwidan turned to Metal Flinch. "Do you have anywhere in mind?"

"Alright." "Come on, Vertex."

"Coming!" Vertex rolled behind the others to the said apartment.
