Trapped?

"Got it. Nice igloo." Vertex turned around and headed into the igloo. He then started making "furniture" out of a bunch of random piles of snow.

Half an hour had passed. Crap... I only have an hour and a half left! Spade was beginning to get discouraged, and was about to turn back, when he saw a black spot approaching him. He then noticed how covered in snow he was. He then realized in horror that if his looked this white, he could easily be mistaken for a young penguin. He drew his sword and prepared for impact. The polar bear jumped out of the snow, and Spade slashed at it causing it to shoot back a few feet. He then realized that it was an anthro, and therefore capable of intelligent thought. He ran up to it. "Oh, god, sorry! Are you okay?" "A talking penguin? I thought I was the only anthro out here." "No." He brushed the snow off of himself. "I'm a hawk. I'm trying to find a non-anthro polar bear for dinner." "Meh. You don't wanna hunt polar bears. Too much muscle, not enough meat. You should try to find a penguin. Nice and tender. They can hardly run, anyway." "Where do you find penguins?" "Watch and learn, noob." He squeezed a drop of blood out of the gash on his chest. It hit the ice, and made a good sized area of red. In about 10 seconds, 5 beaks stuck through the ice. The polar bear drew a circle in the ice with his claw, and pulled it out. There were 5 4-armed penguins with their beaks stuck through the ice. The twosome brought the penguins back to camp. "I'm back, and I brought penguins! Anybody got a light?"

"I keep one on me at all times." Flinch lit a lantern capable of lasting many days on end. "Good for ya?" Flinch looked behind Spade. " Holy crap, does that polar bear have four arms?" Then he looked at the penguins. "Do I have to ask?"

"Not really. Nature can do some weird things to animals." "Hello. My name is Frost." Spade removes the cap from the lantern, puts the penguins on his sword, and starts to slowly turn them over the fire. In about 15 minutes, they look less like penguins and more like roasted chicken with 4 drumsticks. Spade pulls off a drumstick from one and starts eating.

While Vertex was making snow furniture, he'd heard a few crashes outside the igloo. He started out the igloo. "What in the crap just happened? Are those penguins?" He looked at the "roasted chicken." "...Do I really want to know? Because this is like...wow." Vertex started to roll back into the igloo, when he tripped over something. A piece of metal. When he got it out of the ground the silver part just turned and pointed somewhere, where the red part pointed opposite. North, Vertex assumed.

"Yawn! Well, I'm gonna turn in for the night." Spade walked into the igloo, and saw the piece of metal. "Now there's something you don't see. Like ever." He took the compass outside to see which direction it was pointing. Its direction didn't change. "Well, I found the way out."

"I feel bad for whatever soul lost this." Vertex said. He'd been thinking for a second...then he just headed south according to the compass.

But wait, any direction was south, because they'd been in the arctic. Crap.

"Well don't ask me. I'm clueless too. Let me see if there's anything in my inventory." Vertex looked around his inventory or health potions and energizers, but all he could find behind that was his ban hammer. "I got nothing."

(Hold up, something just occurred to me. Did you make a character biography?)

(Erm... No... You see, I only read the character sheet topic, but I'll make a profile now.

"I have a motorcycle, but it's back at the den." "That'll work!"

"Exactly how are you supposed to get this bi-wheeled motor vehicle here?" Vertex started, "It's not like you can teleport or something...can you?"

"Well, I can use chaos control, but it's very limited if it's cold. At this temperature, where I'm going needs to be within 2000 feet within my current location, it saps half my current energy, and I can only do it once every 2 hours. I'm sorry I can't be of much help..." "It's fine, I'll get it. You guys wait here." Frost ran off into the snow.

Meanwhile... Frost is running to the den, when the ground shakes slightly. "!" The ground shakes a little more. "What could be making these earthquakes?" The ice begins to crack. There's a huge earthquake, and a giant penguin comes out of the ice, and makes a sound sort of like a screeching monkey scratching a blackboard. "Aw, no freakin way." The camp was also feeling the earthquake...

Vertex hops into Flinch's backpack. "Let's go!" Vertex excitedly states.

At that moment, the ground began to shake at the camp.

Vertex suddenly felt a slight rumble not too far away. He peeked out of Flinch's backpack. "You feel any...shaking?"

Spade didn't reply, for at that moment he was curled up in a ball on the ground.

Meanwhile...

Frost was doing his best to fight off the giant penguin, but he was in a spot of trouble. "HEY GUYS!!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. "A LITTLE HELP?!"

"...You guys hear something?" Vertex swore he heard a call for help somewhere.

"They're not coming... Guess it's time for plan c." "I thought you only plan c'd the ladies." (This was Mike, the voice in Frost's head) "I think I can make an exception this time. RUN FOR THE HILLS, MIKE!!!" -_-"
